Understanding Sorting Numbers in Visure
Sorting numbers in Visure provide an intuitive way to organize and navigate through your project elements. These numbers are visible in the Navigation Panel on the left-hand side of the interface and are tied directly to the Name field of each item.
How It Works:
- Sorting Numbers Display: Sorting numbers are assigned only to items that have a value in the Name field. If an item’s Name field is empty, the sorting number will not appear.
- Document Structure Mimicry: This approach mirrors how documents typically display headings—only sections with titles are included in the numbering scheme, ensuring clarity and organization.
Common Issue: Missing Sorting Numbers
If you notice that a requirement has a sorting number but its Name field appears blank, it might be due to an inadvertent blank space in the field. Ensure the Name field is entirely empty (no spaces or characters) if you don't want a sorting number to display.
