The following shortcuts are available: 

Insert: Create item 

Shift + Insert: Create child item. 

Alt + O: Check-out 

Alt + I: Check-in 

Alt + U: Undo check-out 

Shift + Delete: Delete item. 

Alt + C: Create comment.
