The Elements Panel explained
The Elements Panel runs down the left side of the Visure interface. It's the navigation between the different areas of the project:
- Home — your project landing page
- Dashboards — visualizations and widgets summarizing project status
- Views — saved layouts for browsing items
- Documents — specifications, folders, and the items inside them
- Reviews — formal review sessions
- Test & Runs — test plans and test execution runs
- Data Models — the project's link type rulebook
- Traceability Matrix — cross-document traceability views
Click any area icon to switch to it — the center content area changes to show that area's contents. For example, clicking Documents shows the document tree; clicking Dashboards shows the list of dashboards.
All eight area icons appear for every user — what changes between users is what they can do inside each area, based on their group's permissions.
At the bottom of the Elements Panel, administrators see an additional Settings button. Non-admin users don't see this button.
The Elements Panel is always visible — switching between areas takes a single click, and the Application Bar at the top stays the same. The Elements Panel and the center content area work together: the panel selects the area, the center shows that area's contents.
